This year I moved away from a traditional theme and went to more of a color scheme. Last year I was in a different district and had a Hollywood theme which slowly morphed into a black, white, pink and green theme. :-)

I was a bit overwhelmed when I walked in to a plethora of resources left by the previous teacher that left the profession. I was grateful that she had left so much when I know she had probably spent a good deal of her own money on those things and left them for a stranger but I was FREAKING out because I had an entire UHaul of my own stuff! Thankfully I had about a month to slowly sift through everything and make it my own.

A few things and arrangements have changed since these photos were taken on Meet the Teacher night but it generally the same.

Oh how I love the look and feel of a freshly prepared classroom. No ripped borders, name tags, freshly organized desks and books. Make me super excited for next year. I am really wanting to change my color scheme up for next year but then again I really don't want to take out a second mortgage!
